Early on in the planning of Cycle Fandango in the place where cycling buddies kid around and fantasize a question was posed...

"What would your fantasy bike ride be?" It was early on apparent that our fantasies weren't about riding as much as about the adventures found along the way. Like playing in a creek on a hot day or finding the best apple pie and ice cream in a mom and pop diner or hearing an old timer tell his story. So, we set out in search of this, and 'Cycle Fandango' was born.

Cycle Fandango is a two-day bicycle event packed full of adventure, culture, food and drink, and just plain fun. The ride will be October 16-17, 2010. Starting Saturday morning the ride will head out from Broken Arrow through the Northeastern Oklahoma Arkansas River Valley Region and into the foothills of the Ozark Mountains to Greenleaf State Park. Saturday evening enjoy chuck wagon food on a starry hilltop camp overlooking Greenleaf Lake with a great rock band. Greenleaf also has miniature golf, sand volleyball, canoeing, and hiking on the 18 mile nature trail.

A different route on Sunday offers another great adventure. (Ride distances are approximately 65-70 miles each day.)
