Thank you for all the positive feedback from last year. With all your kinds remarks and encouragement we decided to post many of the comments of what people are saying about Cycle Fandango!

I just wanted to tell you what a super job you did organizing Cycle Fandango. Especially for a first-time event, it was just fantastic. Your volunteers were so wonderful and nice and helpful, the food was fantastic, rest stops were fun and plentiful, route was spectacular, overnight was gorgeous with great facilities and it was challenging but doable for a perfect weekend ride. I came up from Dallas; my sister from Iowa was so excited when I told her about it that she’s committed to coming down next year to do it with me. So, please, have another one next year!
Thanks,
~ Jamie Johnson, Dallas, TX

Kelly and I thank you for putting on an excellent event by creating the Fandango.
Route – scenic, challenging at times. Great choice of lightly traveled roads.
Rest Stops – especially loved Panera Bread stops. People were friendly and eager to help.
Markings – signs and on street markings were plentiful. Never felt any danger of getting lost.
SAG Support was excellent. Took advantage of ride in after 40 miles on 2nd day.
Sun and Ski lubed a squeaky chain and inflated our tires on Sunday morning. They were friendly and helpful.
The Chuck Wagon provided an excellent evening meal and breakfast. The rice and beans was surprisingly tasty.
A live band for evening entertainment!
The park was excellent. Wonderful views, ample places to pitch a tent. Excellent facilities to shower and clean up at for a park.
We look forward to doing it again next year.

You need to put up an opinion page or survey or some way to get feedback. I had an absolutely great time. Sure the hills were a little tall, but the rest stops were unmatched in my past experience. You should invite some of the other ride organizers around the country to Fandango to learn how to run multi day ride.

Thanks, I truly had a great time.

Went to Broken Arrow this past weekend and wanted to let everyone know about this road ride so you can make it next year. 150 miles in two days, rest stops every ten miles, overnight at beautiful Greenleaf state park. It was a perfect ride for touring types or racer types. Great route, good roads, fantastic organization, food included everywhere you go. It started with a party and band on Friday night, Saturday ride was 78 miles downwind with a few hills but nothing too terrible, we ate like kings at the rest stops, sandwich's for lunch, one stop had the football game on radio. We pulled into Greenleaf and there was chuck wagon hamburgers, one of the most beautiful views in all of Oklahoma, indoor fire, and two free BEERS, electricity to charge the phone from all of the game updates! A fantastic Saturday night band! Camping was tent, you could pay for a heated six bed bunkhouse room, or catch the shuttle to Muskogee for a hotel room. Sunday, Tammy even had her crew switch the wind to the South so that both days were riding downwind, and she turned the sunshine on all day. 72 more miles of glorious Oklahoma countryside and we were back to civilization, greeted by smiling faces and of course more food. Like coke floats, sandwiches, and peanuts, etc. The organization was top notch for their first time organizing a ride, and left no stone unturned. Always friendly and helpful too! The perfect weekend for a beginner, a tourer, or a seasoned racer getting in some LSD miles. Hope to see everyone their next year. Where can you have almost unlimited food, two parties with bands, and ride your bike for 9+ hours on a supported route? See ya next year.

You all did a great job.
I sent a review in to www.bicycle-stuff.com
I will watch to see that they post the review. Be sure to get on their ride calender for next year.
We will be back next year and we will bring friends.

What a great job you did this past weekend with Cycle Fandango. I was looking for you at the finish line on Sunday to give you a big ole hug for making your first year ride a wonderful event. All the folks from Dallas are ready to sign up for next year’s ride. All of your volunteers were so awesome. They all worked so hard and just absolutely a pleasure to talk to throughout the two day ride. Please pass on to them our thanks.

I just wanted to touch base with regarding the ride over this past weekend. I think that your event was very well thought out, your routes were very good (although I hate hills), and that your rest stops were spaced well and well furnished with goodies and carbs! I think I may have mentioned this to you, Mike and Steve a couple times through the weekend, but wanted you to hear it again in writing. I was very impressed with the amount of times I saw the SAG wagons covering the routes. The evening chuck wagon dinner was good. The thought of having a massage and chiropractor setup on the first day was an awesome idea. I took advantage of the massage since I pushed myself Saturday and stayed with the lead group. The head wind didn’t help matters any either. You should have had a little more control of that part! Lol the camping idea was a great idea as well.

Anyway, I just wanted to commend you and the sponsors, organizers/committee members for your first year of Fandango, and look forward to future events with you! You all put in a lot of time and thought into this to make it as successful as it was. I talked to a few out of staters and they were very impressed as well.

Maybe next year you can have some beer stations to help us that are sore not feel as much pain going up those hills! Ha

Pass this onto the others as well,
~ Wayne Bush

You and your Fandango team ROCK!!!!

You did a fantastic job organizing the ride. Everything was well planned---rest stops well stocked and very hospitable--band was awesome--fireplace toasty--sag well staffed (I didn't need to take advantage of the service "Yea" but it was comforting to know so many were available)!!!

It was an awesome weekend.
I can't wait until next year!
Your hard work is appreciated.
Thank you thank you thank you

Just wanted to send a quick note to tell you how well you and your group did this weekend. I was part of the 4 guys that came up from the Dallas area to ride. I first saw your advertisement for the ride in Bicycling Magazine and eventually talked three of my team mates into joining me for just a fun weekend of riding. We were all a little skeptical knowing that it was a first time event but were all amazed at how well prepared you were and how good everything turned out.

Next year we will probably opt for the dorms at the park. It was a little cold in the tents Saturday night. But as soon as we were on the bikes and moving the weather was great. We enjoyed the routes too. Everything just seemed first class.

Also the rest stops were great. All the people were so nice and helpful. And the food was wonderful. Thanks for the experience.
